NASA's latest Mars rover starts its journey to the red planet on Thursday, blasting off at 7:50 A.M. EDT. The rover carries a rock-blasting laser, microphones and 23 cameras, a coring drill, a mobile weather station, the first ground-penetrating radar sent to Mars' surface, and even a helicopter.
